A detour before I leave.........
I need to have some work done on the house and the repairmen won't be out to my house until Tuesday. Hopefully it will only take a few hours.
And last weekend, the refrigerator in the house went on strike. On Monday, I called my neighborhood repairman and he diagnosed it as a bad switch, he put in a new switch on Tuesday.
Not a major setback, only $145 total, parts and labor. Not much food lost, luckily the fridge was pretty bare due to my pending departure.
So, hopefully, my new departure date is Thursday, November 3rd. I keep watching weather.com. All of the talk of snow, along with the cold nights, makes me nervous. I want to get away from all of the cold weather.
The movers picked up my daughters things on Tuesday and my family and friends have been here to pick up some items.
All that is in the house now is a bed, a desk and chair, a bookcase and a few lamps. There are several boxes in the garage, some items are being picked up tomorrow and the rest will be donated.
And, I still have several boxes of papers and small items that I am sorting and figuring out what to do with. The other thing I'm having a hard time deciding is "what clothes to take". I don't want to take too much, but don't want to regret leaving something behind. I know I can always pick up clothes anywhere, but its still hard deciding.
I really need to get into the RV and get it all setup and ready to travel, it gets cold here at night and takes awhile to get the chill out, I may need to turn on a small electric heater while I am working in the RV.
I have to go to Car Max and sell my car, I'm still running around getting things taken care of and need the car for a few more days.
Still counting down 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1.................

10 - 9 - 8 .........
Countdown......... 10 days............
November 1st is the day I have in my mind that I want to leave.
The weather concerns me, what if we get a frost???
Maybe you should be taking bets
Will I meet the deadline I set?
Will I meet the deadline I set?
I just want to just leave now and not worry about all of this stuff.
Can't do that - just have to keep moving.
Need to stay positive and not let this mess get me down.
I have finished a lot of things to get me to that day, but it seems like there is still to much to do.
The movers are coming on Tuesday morning.
They are taking stuff to Colorado to my daughters house.
A shredding company is coming here on Wednesday
to get rid of all of my paper and client files.
to get rid of all of my paper and client files.
I have donated a ton of stuff
and given away many things to family and friends.
and given away many things to family and friends.
I have been putting things in the RV, but not putting them away.
There is stuff on the bed and counters.
I want to take the RV for an oil change,
I can't drive it with all of that stuff in there.
I can't drive it with all of that stuff in there.
I need to find a few hours to go in there and get it organized.
I know, I know - I shouldn't be blogging - if I don't have time.
I blog while I am eating - need to take a break sometime.
I will read your blogs later when I get on the road.

From my journal
Notes from books I have been reading and my own added thoughts
Butterfly Wings
From the butterflies struggles out of the cocoon comes Life, Beauty and the ability to fly.
The precipice is the moment when your current path ends and a new decision needs to be made. It's the place of choosing to stay in what you know is safe, or taking the leap forward into the unknown.
Making a change is saying that I accept nothing less than the dream. Staying on the ledge of what you know - because of fear of jumping - is cowardly.
Nothing will change unless you change it.
Sadness overwhelms me at times with all I have lost, and all I will be leaving here.
I will have little ownership of property and with that small responsibilities. A lack of tow vehicle will allow me to live once more through my feet.
Jump and Grow Wings on the Way Down!
I now trust the Universe will help build my wings, and have me land in the perfect place.

Moving Companies
My daughter is in town and we are packing up the items she wants moved to her house in Colorado.
I went online a few days ago to look for a moving company and signed up for a free quote, big mistake.
They gave my info to every moving company and I have received too many phone calls and emails. Some of them are very pushy salesmen, giving me a headache.
I have to make a decision by tomorrow, because I need this stuff out of here by November 1st.
Some of you have mentioned some moving companies in the past, I don't have time to look back through blogs.
Can you comment with the name of a company you have been happy with,
Thanks,
