Work Kamping

I would return to most of these jobs (unless noted below).

For me, workamping is a "paid vacation".

I get to really see an area in the few months that I am there, I work a little and earn money to pay travel expenses.

Workamping and volunteering are a great way to meet like-minded people, I have many new friends that were co-workers.

I decide on an area I want to visit, or to be near family, and then I start to apply for jobs, jobs can be found @ Workamper News, CoolWorks or through Craigslist - search for seasonal or temporary jobs.

6.5 months:  Gross Wages = $9,835 (average 35 hours per week)
RV site rent was $25 week
Meals (optional) $3.95 for $10 value in the cafe

Nov 4, 2012 to March 31, 2013...................Visitor Services
Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge.......Los Fresnos, TX
5 months: Volunteer - no wages - free RV site

May 4, 2013  to Sept 25, 2013 ......................Front Desk & Children's Activities
South Padre Island KOA Kampground.............SPI, TX
4.5 months:  Gross Wages = $5106  (16-32 hours per week)
RV site rent was $69. bi-weekly

May 15, 2014 to August 5, 2014.................... Front Desk/receptionist/phone reservations
Blair Hotels, Inc - Buffalo Bill Village Cabins........Cody, WY
2 1/2 months:  Gross Wages = $ 3,488 (38-40 hours per week)
RV site was $3.00 a day  I left before the end of the season, this job didn't work out for me.
