Income Tax Season

As I mentioned in my last post, I am working this Income Tax Season.  I have been a tax preparer for over 25 years and have used Drake Tax Software for over 15 years, they are a very good company and I like the software.  I prefer it to the software that they are using in the office I am working at this year.

Only one more month left to file your tax returns.

I have added a link, at the top of my blog, to the Drake website.
If you like to prepare your taxes yourself, this link will take you to the page to start your return for free. There may be some additional charges, based on your income and individual tax situation.  I am an affiliate for this site and will earn a commission if you use this site.

1040.com is offering a promo code between now and St. Patty’s Day. Enter in STPATTY when filing your taxes and get a FREE federal return.

Drake Software has also done a lot of research into the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and they have links to eHealth where you can get information about these insurance plans and can sign up for the insurance (during open enrollment or if you qualify at a different time of the year). I will also be posting links for these products.

Not much else going on, the weather has mostly been dreary and rainy.  There were a few nice sunny days mixed in with the rain.  I have been wanting to ride my bike in the mornings before work, but the weather has not been cooperating.

This past weekend, I did drive up to San Antonio to visit with the kids and will probably visit them again for Easter.

  2. Everyone in Texas has complained about how dreary it has been this year. It's the kind of weather that you actually might not mind working on taxes. That is if you are good at it and like doing it. :-)

  3. Finally broke down and finished our return this last week. So glad to get that out of the way. I just couldn't bear the thought of doing tax returns anymore. Glad you're hanging in there.

  4. We used a professional tax preparer for the first time this year. With no small business to deal with and far less income, it went quickly and smoothly. We needed help because we have never had investments to deal with before.

  5. What a little cutie Sophia is! She's just beautiful. I saved a lock of hair from my daughter's first haircut and put it in her baby book. She still has it. :)
