Goodbye House
The closing was Tuesday afternoon. I was about 3 hours away, in my RV, anxiously awaiting the news that all had gone well and the deal was finalized.
I did not mention the pending deal on the blog, guess I was afraid I would jinx it.
I am very thankful that everything went so well. I did not want the worry about leaving the house empty all winter.
My good friend, Terry, also happens to be my realtor. She did an excellent job at pricing it right and my attorney, Ron, ordered all of the reports and inspections and paperwork right away, as soon as we had a contract - this helped everything to go so smoothly.
Thanks to everyone that helped me
to empty the house, get it fixed up and get it sold.

Wow, congratulations!! :) I can't believe you were able to keep that to yourself through the whole process - I am glad it all went so well for you!!!
ReplyDeleteNow you can hit the road to parts unknown! Can't wait until we can join you out there!!
Wonderful! When I read it had sold, I wondered if I had missed something about it getting under contract. So many blogs to follow.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly a full timer now. Lucky you.
Congrats, it must feel great to have a major list item checked and one less thing hanging over your head as you are now full time. As of today's list I have plans to rent mine but after I prepare it to rent ... I may just put it on the market.
ReplyDeleteNow, back to reading your story starting where I left off last night.
Free at last, now that is done you can remove one big load of bricks off your back.
ReplyDeleteBravo! Now have some fun!
ReplyDeleteThose two places don't even look the same. Maybe it is the snow or something that throws it off. I would have had a hard time selling the blue house at the top with all the flowers but not the house covered in snow. Not my favorite thing, to be sure. And, I would have missed having a yard. I'm not sure I could live in such small quarters after having all that freedom that a house affords but obviously you have thought about it and have made a choice that is right for you. Enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteHip hip hooray...you're on your way. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteAll right! Free and clear. No strings to hold you back.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. That is so exciting that you get to start your new journey without having to worry about the house. Welcome to the freedom of full timing.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the sale!..and for keeping it quiet..some things are better left unsaid until it all comes together!!..enjoy the new found freedom..I so wish it was us too!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! That was fast. Homes here are not selling very fast at all. I am happy you are now free to move on.
ReplyDeleteHappy Trails and be safe
I think you made a great decision!...The expense and worry of having two places even if one of them is mobile is just not worth it...good luck!
ReplyDeletebig time congrats...
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for you!!
ReplyDeleteAren't you the sly one not telling us all about the sale ;-) So happy for you.
ReplyDeletesounds like you're on your way to your next adventure!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! It's always great to get good news!
ReplyDeleteHave fun,
Erik
Congratulations! I'm glad this sale has gone smoothly and that you're free to pursue your dreams!
ReplyDeleteGlad for you, Teri. Enjoy your freedom :)
