This is a good website to check out if you are moving on to a new area in your RV.
This website lists information and maps on ALL active wildfires.
Wildfires are burning in several states at this time.
Drought, unusually high temperatures and high winds along with lightning have caused many of these wildfires.
Some have been reported to he caused by humans.
Be careful over the holiday weekend.
Stay safe and have fun.
NO fireworks. We don't need them.
Remember that when you leave this Earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage. -St. Francis of Assisi

Overnight stays in these states:
It is the sandstorm that shape the stone statues of the Desert. It is the struggles of Life that form a person's character ~ Native American Proverb
You stay safe too. I am not driving anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThat's an easy-to-use website - thanks for mentioning it. Happy and quiet 4th to you!
ReplyDeleteMay you have a fire-free 4th.
ReplyDeleteTHanks Teri, have a safe & happy 4th!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link - I was looking for something like that! :)
ReplyDeleteWhew, we were worried about you and your blog! Did you find out what happened?
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting that link Teri. I've been wondering about the wildfires and don't have tv access at this time so haven't been able get any info that way. For some reason, I didn't think to search for info online - silly me!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard there was a big one in CO, I logged on to check out your website -- wondering if it was located anywhere near you (that was over a week ago). Anyway, I then saw that the big fire was over closer to Colorado Springs.
It sure does look like it's going to be a tough year on our national/state forests and those that live/work in them!
