Last week I was deciding whether to accept a job offer, or wait for a different job to come along..........
My gut instinct, at the end of the interview, is NO - do not take the job........ something does not sound right.......
That same day, I read the following on a blog:
Sometimes one has to stop wondering and let the nature of Life take it’s course, no questions asked, with the trust of it’s outcome. Letting the body rest in one space for a healing trickling down moment by moment filling so ever slowly finding the empty inner pieces of a puzzle.

I think I just need to wait for another opportunity, and to forget about this one. I may not rush into another job when I leave the refuge on March 31st and just wait to see what happens.
Remember that when you leave this Earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage. -St. Francis of Assisi

Overnight stays in these states:
It is the sandstorm that shape the stone statues of the Desert. It is the struggles of Life that form a person's character ~ Native American Proverb
Definitely trust your own feelings. There have been times in the past when I didn't listen to that inner voice and always ended up either not happy or down right regretful. Learned some lessons that way but that is the hard way.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have good instincts, Teri.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I turned down the Elk Refuge. It isn't always easy to wait and see what turns up, but many times things turn out better. At least that's what I tell myself. ;)
ReplyDeleteTeri, good for you for listening to your "little voice." It's usually spot on. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is not against the law not to work...yet!!..ha! that was the hardest thing for me to remember when I retired pretty early in life...
ReplyDeleteLike others have said, it's always best to listen to that inner voice. Sometimes your subconscious knows something that you just haven't recognized yet. Go with your gut.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Teri ... let er rip... trust your instincts ~ love this and I'm going to copy it on a sticky note! ;)
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I had his blog on my blog roll... well, I don't! going to add it... love the way he thinks as well as his photography
DeleteYes if you have a strong feeling then follow it will surely be the best.
ReplyDeletealways follow your gut instinct...is what I tell myself...hasn't let me down yet...:)
ReplyDeleteI always go with my gut. Something better will come along for you. :)
ReplyDeleteI always love to check up on your latest adventures. I'll be praying for direction for you this week.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Teri, where ever you end up. I enjoyed meeting you at Laguna. Hopefully we will run into each other again one of these days.
