Just got the call, I will be working at KOA. I will move over there on Monday, but probably will not start working until May.
2 days a week at the front desk
2 days a week as the Children's Activity Director
Friday evenings, Saturday afternoon
and Saturday Movie Night
and Saturday Movie Night
(plus Sundays on holiday weekends)
This should be interesting, I like working with kids. I was a Girl Scout leader a long time ago, for about 8 years, and we had at least 30 girls in our group.
I get to decide what types of activities to add
to the standard, planned events.

I get paid for all hours worked and my rent is very cheap,
just enough to cover the utilities.

I will still be volunteering with the Sea Turtle Patrol. I am on the the patrol schedule on Thursday, April 11th and April 18th. I hope I find a turtle nesting.
We will get an updated schedule every two weeks.
Congratulations on the summer job!
ReplyDeleteI guess it's congrats on the job. Working with kids would probably rank about the bottom of the barrel for me. But I think you will be really good at it. You have such a creative mind.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good air conditioner! Congrats having the added bonus of being near family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the summer job. Yellow isn't my color either but sounds like the price is right. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYou know when you see yellow shirts that it's a KOA. :) Congratulations on the summer job!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, that will require a change of gears, going from slow moving turtles to jet propelled kids. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great job! Love doing fun activities with kids!
ReplyDeleteGreat plans and that KOA is a huge one and what a location! looking forward to reading all about it... especially the sea turtles... what fun

ReplyDeleteGreat job for you. I hope you enjoy all the activities with the kids,
ReplyDeleteAnd then the added bonus of the turtle watch.
Sounds like a sweet gig. You'll be a KOA Ranger.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've found something that you enjoy doing. Hope the kids are a fun part of it. The sea turtle work sounds wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found a good place! Working at the front desk part of the time and with the kids the rest will give you a varied work experience. I'd like that, I think. I'd also like the pay! Good deal! I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're getting busy!! Not one, but two different jobs to do. We hope that you enjoy your time out on the island.
