On Being Content.......

it is trusting God's goodness in spite of life's tragedies."

for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.

Be thankful for all the troubles you don’t have.

There are two ways of being rich:

 one is to have all you want,

 the other is to be satisfied with what you have.

 Accept and appreciate things now,

 and you’ll find more happiness in every moment you live.

 Happiness comes when
 we stop complaining about the troubles we have

 and offer thanks for all the troubles we don’t have.

 And remember,

 you have to fight through some bad days
 to earn the best days of your life

Benjamin Franklin said,
“To the discontented man no chair is easy.”

Being content gives you peace and when you are at peace,

 you have joy and it shows from the inside out.

I found an interesting little book titled "BE HAPPY".

Live Happier with Yourself and Others - published in 1958

"This work is designed to show you how you can solve your problems."

      "It is based on scientific findings."

There are only 4 chapters:

Money - how to take care of it.

Love - how to meet it

Marriage - how to cope with it

Happiness - how to achieve it.

I think its strange that it is scientifically based, and how about the idea of "coping" with marriage.

It also seems that the book is directed towards men.
