Remember that when you leave this Earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage. -St. Francis of Assisi

Perseverance

I feel that my house has a never ending
list of stuff to sort, repair, purge, shred.

I get discouraged, it is taking longer than I planned,
with all of the distractions, surprises and unplanned repairs.
I am getting through it.....
The end is in sight.

"Chop Wood, Carry Water"
whenever I have a long "TO DO" list
I think of this phrase
* * *

Decide what you want,
decide what you are willing to exchange for it.
Establish your priorities
and go to work.

We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, then
 is not an act,
but a habit.
Better Habits - One of my GOALS.

Victory belongs to the most persevering

  1. You will do it. If it gets to be too much, take a big breath and step back for a week.

  2. I know how you feel. This summer has been an endless process of cleaning, sorting, painting...well, you get the idea. Harry and I are both tired of working on the house all the time, but we try to keep our eyes on the finish line, and the prize!! :)

  4. Believe me, it does start to disappear, the stuff in the house that is. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there. After all, you have a goal.

  5. It will get done and you will be on your way to where ever you want to go.
Sometime you jus feel like your getting know where but just look around and I bet you will see how far you have come.

  7. One step at a time, you're ahead of where you were yesterday. I'm only about 1/4 of an inch ahead of where I was yesterday, lol. Sometimes it does seem to take forever, but keep on keeping on.
