Remember that when you leave this Earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage. -St. Francis of Assisi

Yard Work

Pulled weeds, filled 6 large bags,
and that's only in the front yard - still need to do the side and back.
It's been very hot and wet here - too many things growing wild.

Dug up, divided and transplanted perennials.

Spread around 12 bags of mulch, not enough, will have to get more.

Some workamping jobs are looking
for help with landscaping.
They ask for pictures of "you and your rig".
Should I send pictures of my yard, too?

  1. Nice. I don't garden much anymore. The ground is to far away.

  2. They just want to be sure you're not traveling in something embarrassing! If it's landscaping you're interested in, it couldn't hurt! :)

  3. Unless you really need the money take a little time for you while you start your journey...I told myself after I retired early it is not against the law NOT to work...it took me about a year to believe that!

  4. I can't see it hurting to send your garden pictures. It sure is pretty. I like Merikay reason for not gardening I might have to steal that line. Workamping isn't all that bad its usualy only 2 or 3 days a week.

  5. The ground is still close enough for me to reach so I am still enjoying it. How about picture's of you & your rig beside your landscaping. That might knock off two birds with one stone.........so to speak.

  6. I don't much care for yard work and any planting I do is in a pot. Having said that, I have berries growing around where I had bamboo planted last year and I think I need to go rescue it.
