Remember that when you leave this Earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage. -St. Francis of Assisi

Sunset @ Bright Angel Point

October 4, 2014

It was close to a full moon, so I decided to take a walk at sunset to Bright Angel Point.
This is a short 1/4 mile, steep hike from the main lodge to an overlook.
I started near my RV and walked a little over a mile on the Transept Trail
until it met up with the Bright Angel Point Trail.

The path is narrow and in some places has drop-offs on both sides,
not a place to walk in the dark, but at dusk under the bright moon it was ok.

This is why I came to the North Rim...
The ever-changing views...
Sunsets, the Moon and Starlit skies

Even before the job offer
I had plans to be here, at the North Rim
 on October 4th

It has been a long 5 years
The next step on the journey is not crystal clear
but the fog has lifted.

  6. Teri your pictures of the canyon, the moon and the skies are just stunning. I am so glad that you are in such an inspiring place and the fog has lifted. It is a long road and one I will sadly be going down.

  8. I've never been to the North Rim. I am definitely going to have to remedy that if I get out that way again. Gorgeous.
