They are now back in Colorado Springs, Denver, Houston and San Antonio and I am drifting around the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.

We left South Padre Island around 11am on Tuesday and took a different route back to San Antonio. We drove to Corpus Christi first. Diane and Karl wanted to look at a loft style apartment two blocks from the Gulf in Corpus Christi. They want to move to Texas sometime in the next few years and are trying to figure out what town will work out best for them.
The quality of the renovations was poor, the contractor using cheap materials. The views from the windows on the 7th floor were really nice - looking out to the Gulf of Mexico. Tuesday was mostly a travel day plus unpacking and doing laundry.
On Wednesday - Diane, Karl, Liv, Collin and I went to downtown San Antonio - walking around, being tourists and we had a nice lunch at the Mall on the Riverwalk.
at the River Walk
at The Alamo
Thursday morning, I checked out of the RV park and went to Liv's house for a few hours to visit with the kids and to say our goodbyes. I left San Antonio - headed toward Galveston Island - with a few stops along the way.
safe travels Teri!

ReplyDeleteIt's always sad for family reunions to end, but you have more memories to carry away with you. Enjoy your travels!
ReplyDeleteGood you had some quality family tine, you'll like Galveston Island, we did, wish I could remember the name of the park that was right on the beach. The water should be nice and warm this time of the year. They also have a train Museum on the Island. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna..
ReplyDeleteGalveston Island State Park has their premium camp sites near the beach for $25.00. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI hear that the river walk is pretty nice. I love the hats, especially the sombreros.
