I forgot to pack the power cord for my laptop/netbook so this will be a short post. Not to much time left on the battery.
I am happy to report that I am using my new Sprint Mobile HotSpot WiFi. I am traveling on Amtrak relaxing in my sleeper car, traveling through the Cumberland Gap, the "Queen of the Alleghanies".
I will have time for a longer post after I go shopping for a new power cord, then I'll have a power cord I can leave in the RV, and this should not happen again.
Remember that when you leave this Earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage. -St. Francis of Assisi

riding the rails!..how fun!..enjoy the click-it-e-clack..and the views!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous. I loved traveling on the trains with my Grandparents when I was a kid. When you get to Fla, find a used computer shop, they may have a power cord for you laptop cheap.I just bought a docking station for my Dell Latitude that came with a new power cord on the internet for for $29. you just have to shop around. Be safe out there. SWam & Donna....
ReplyDeleteHow Exciting, you are on your way! Good thing you forgot your cord and not the whole laptop! Much easier to replace. Good idea to have one in the RV and one at home.
ReplyDeleteHave FUN!
Just had a thought that might be too late. If you can, video the dealer showing you how to operate the systems/accessories on your new RV. The one that confused me the most was the awning.
ReplyDeleteIt's always something isn't it? Getting ready to come house sit I kept going over and over what I needed and, fortunately, I didn't forget a cord. My house sitter, on the other hand, forgot hers so I wasn't able to set it up for her before I left. We spent 45 minutes on the phone over the weekend trying to get her hooked up.
ReplyDeleteI've only taken three trips on a train. Two when I was a kid, and one a few years ago from San Jose to San diego.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it.
I would like to try sleeping on one someday.
Its hard to get it all together. I make lists and then I can't find them this time I did pretty good. of course I couln't pack my grandson to unpack my car when I got here.
ReplyDeleteThe train ride sound like a great way to travel have a great trip. Hope you find a power cord do you can keep us up to date. And the suggestion to video sounds like a great idea.
That sounds like such fun...the train trip not the lack of a power cord!! Let us know how it was to sleep on teh train. I've always wanted to do that but never had the chance.
